Kate Middleton becomes guest editor of the Huffington Post

After a very special holiday season with her family, the Duchess of Cambridge, nee Kate Middleton, will continue her work to help children. As part of these efforts, Kate will be editor-in-chief of the British edition of the Huffington Post for a day in mid-February, according to which the Royal House announced. On that date, as yet undetermined, Middleton will write and coordinate articles to generate greater awareness of the mental health of young people. The news portal Huffington Post, created in 2005, has editions in the United States, France, UK, Spain, Italy, Japan, Canada, Brazil, Germany, South Korea, North Africa and Greece.
The wife of Prince William has made this issue a “key element of her work in recent years,” said a spokesman from Kensington Palace. She is pleased to have the Huffington Post’s help to underline the importance of this issue, he added. He said that Middleton “asked contributions to a number of experts in the field of mental health and youth, parents and teachers”. According to what has been said, Kate will focus on the inspiring work done by parents, teachers, researchers and professionals in the UK on issues of mental health.
Since she became mother of Prince George and Princess Charlotte, the Duchess has increased her efforts in that area. Just before Christmas, Kate visited the Anna Freud Centre, which helps children with serious behavioral problems. There, Kate joined to a fun Christmas concert drumming, event through which children celebrated the season. Also, she accompanied Prince William and was also part of ICAP Charity Day center, where both became collectors at the telephone for several hours. The money collected will go to Place2Be, one of Kate programs providing counseling to children in their schools.
By February, Prince George will be already accustomed to his new life in the nursery (which began on January 6), allowing his mother pay more attention to her social duties, something that has become very important to her. The two-year-old little boy attends Westacre Montessori school in the village of East Walton in Norfolk, near his home in Anmer Hall. A source revealed that George had a wonderful first school day and “everything was fine” after his parents left him in the school gate.
